- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Chet has been carrying my home & auto policies for — wow! — over 20 years now. (Happily,) I don't need to talk with him often, but when I do, I know I can count on his knowledge & insight. I've had similar experience with Nationwide. No one wants an occasion when they need to engage with their insurer. When I have, though, I've found their claims processing very fast & efficient, and their staff open, responsive & communicative to deal with. Surprisingly — and this facet of the insurance business doesn't get exposed on the consumer side of things — repair shops like dealing with Nationwide, too. I happened to get in a chat with a shop owner about insurers. He liked Nationwide, too, because they reimburse his claim jobs quickly, too. Does this mean repair shops move faster on work for which they'll get paid faster? I can't say. But it tells me at least that Nationwide is a square & solid operation across the board.By Nate Schley, June 23, 2017
